Kelly Partnership - Career and leadership development

Executive coaching

Two figures represnt a one-on-one

We believe that coaching relates to the process of supporting human growth and achievement.

Coaching can be defined as an ongoing partnership that helps people produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Through the process of coaching - which is essentially a series of conversations with a purpose - people can deepen their understanding, enhance their learning and improve their performance.

In each coaching session it is primarily the coachee who chooses which development areas they wish to address. The effective coach is a 'critical friend', someone who asks questions, makes observations and provides new insights. This 1:1 interaction creates clarity, enables the coachee to see things differently and helps them take action to achieve their goals. Coaching also accelerates progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching is about change – focusing on where the individual is, where they want to be and how they will get there.

As the business of coaching is pretty much an unregulated industry, there are many consultants who have set themselves up as coaches. From life coaches to management development gurus, the diversity of coaches and their guiding philosophies is wider than ever.

Given the considerable amount of personal and financial investment in commissioning a coaching programme, the most challenging question for leaders, human resource professionals and managers is: how do I choose the right coach?

Why choose the Kelly Partnership?

We have proven experience in providing high impact coaching and leadership development programmes for public and private sector clients. Ron Kelly is acknowledged as a highly experienced executive coach as well as a Chartered Occupational Psychologist. Backed up by access to the most sophisticated assessment and development tools, his specialist knowledge of individual and organisational behaviour enables the coaching experience to be insightful as well as results driven.

Our coaching philosophy is simple - people should not just feel better but get better. This is underpinned by two main aims:

In today’s demanding world of work, there is continual pressure to perform and deliver results. That is why we don’t waste time in coaching by discussing esoteric theory, complicated models or endless visioning. While renewed insight and understanding the fundamentals of behavioural change are key factors in successful coaching outcomes, we also challenge and stretch; question and explore; face difficulties and give unstinting support.

Most importantly, there has to be the right chemistry between the coach and the coachee. Accordingly we will ensure that coaching takes place only if both parties are personally well matched.

Our coaching support programmes are tailored to your requirements, including budgetary considerations. We believe that coaching for performance or development should be for anyone who needs to achieve better results, from the smallest regional business or SME to the largest corporate.
